The Politics of Rescue

So there are many people in the U.S. that think that we should stay out of other countries problems. To an extent I agree with them, but then again I also don’t. The reason I think that the U.S. should stay out of other countries problems is because we are using are money. We are using our money to “help” people that in some cases do not want to be helped. This meaning that some countries are fine with the way that they are and because the U.S. government thinks that they need to be changed they do something about it. Another reason that they should stay out of these countries is not only because they are using our money, but they are also using our soldiers. Many soldiers are over there right now in Iraq fighting a war that they have no idea what it is about. That is one reason why many people don’t want to join the army because they feel like they are fighting unnecessary battles. But as I said some times I think that the U.S. needs to intervene with certain countries problems. A perfect example is what is going on in Darfur. Thousands of people are dying daily and no one is doing anything about it. It is basically another genocide, like the holocaust. It is a situation like this that I think that the U.S. needs to do something. I’m not just saying that we should just throw our soldiers in there but we need to get the U.N. to do something about what is going on, and get multiple countries to help out.
